John Lawrence Kiviniemi, 84, of Scottsburg, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012.
Mr. Kiviniemi is survived by his wife, Willie Sue Belcher Kiviniemi; six children, Ronald (Ann) Kiviniemi of Pisgah Forest, N.C., Jerald Kiviniemi of Borden, Gary Kiviniemi of Manchester, Tenn., David (Evelyn) Kiviniemi of Christiana, Tenn., Sharon (Gary) Hurtienne of Austin, and Connie (Keith) Kiviniemi-Baylor of Columbus; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, William Kiviniemi of Evansville and Leonard Kiviniemi of Scottsburg.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, with cremation to follow. Calling will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday. Entombment will be at a later date at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
