Alice Lucille Schwab, 90, of Grand Rapids, Mich., formerly of Columbus, passed away at her home and entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Septermber 5, 2012.
Surviving are her husband of 70 years, William D. Schwab; two sons, William W. (Nancy) Schwab of Grand Rapids, Mich., and John C. (Carla) Schwab of Columbia, S.C.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a very special niece and nephew, Nancy Fay and John Mahoney.
Mrs. Schwab founded and directed the day care program for children through First Presbyterian Church. She was a longtime member of Thornapple Community Church of Grand Rapids.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday at Thornapple Community Church, 3260 Thornapple River Dr. SE, Grand Rapids, Mich. The family will receive friends beginning at 2 p.m. Monday. Interment will be at Rest Lawn Memorial Park.
