Stephen Ray “Tex” Davis Sr., 46, of Freetown, died at 6:15 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
A celebration of life will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at his daughter’s home, 416 Bloomington Road in Brownstown.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to assist in final expenses.
Arrangements were made by Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Services in North Vernon.
Mr. Davis is survived by Bobbi Sue Skees; a son, Stephen Ray Davis Jr.; two daughters, Amanda (Matt) Harmon and Christine (Pou) Dover; four grandchildren; a brother, Barry (Karen) Davis; and a sister, Connie (Gary) Esbeck.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mildred Curtain Davis.
