Betty Jean Washburn, 74, of Seymour, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.
Mrs. Washburn is survived by her children, Harold (Cheryl) Jones, Jim (Dawn) Washburn and David (Jil) Washburn; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Charles (Betty) Patty, Billy Ray Patty and Mike (Bev) McDonough; and sisters, Kathy (Jim) Meyer, Ann (Ralph) Fawbush and Dixie (Glen) Pifer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Earl Washburn, and a son, Steve Jones.
At Mrs. Washburn's request, cremation is planned.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Voss Chapel in Seymour with calling from noon until service time.
Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans or the local Humane Society.
