Lauretta McLane, 92, of Franklin passed away Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at Christina House in Franklin.
She was born May 31, 1920, in Des Plaines, Ill., to Frank and Elizabeth Heidenblut. She married Roy A. McLane on July 16, 1938, in Chicago, Ill. He survives.
She had been a bookkeeper for Sears in California for several years. She was a member of Our Lady Of the Greenwood Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Roy A. McLane of Franklin; two daughters, Bonnie J. Roberts (Tillis) of Bargersville and Carol M. King (Terry) of Nokomis, Fla.; sister, Virginia McCallum of Des Plaines, Ill.; sister-in-law, Alice Anderson of Texas; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Hess (Joel) of Indianapolis, Lauretta Ionoff of Ellettsville, Chris Jones (Jamie) of Indianapolis, Marvin Jones (Tracy) of Venice, Fla., Dan Roberts of Indianapolis, Edward Roberts (Jennifer) of Nineveh, Jason Roberts (Michelle) of Greenwood, Scott Roy McLane (Amy) of Ft. Campbell, Ky., and Kevin McLane of Greencastle; nine great grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Cindy McLane of Greencastle.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Scott McLane on March 16, 2005; three brothers, George, Edward, and Frank Heidenblut, and a sister, Betty Leider. Services are private.
Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center in Franklin is handling the arrangements.
