Myrl Frazier, 87, of North Vernon,passed away at 7:55 a.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon.
Born March 22, 1925 in Crawford County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Willard and Lela Benham Luft. She married Ralph Frazier on August 17, 1951 in Crawford County. He preceded her in death on July 14, 1995.
Myrl was a Pastors wife and served as the director of the WKFM (Wesleyan Kids For Mission) Director for 20 years and the local director for WKFM. She was a member of the North Vernon Wesleyan Church and local Wesleyan Women’s Director. She taught Sunday school. She enjoyed quilting and working with children.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry (Donna) Frazier of Thayer, Kansas and Richard (Melanie) Frazier of Milford, Ohio; one daughter, Esther (Bill) Boswell of Dupont, Indiana; three sisters, Marie (Earnest) Lytle of New Albany, Indiana, Lucille Whitworth of English, Indiana and Phyllis Stepp of Corydon, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Jeff (Heather) Boswell of Dupont, Indiana, Roger (Tracy) Boswell of North Vernon, Indiana, Beth (Josh) Habenicht of Hayden, Indiana, Ashley Frazier and Adrienne (Daniel) Bullard both of Cincinnati, Ohio, Logan Frazier and Austin Frazier both of Thayer, Kansas; five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers, Hubert, Ferris and Morris Luft and a sister, Alberta “Birdie” Franks.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11a.m. Friday, September 21, 2012, at the North Vernon Wesleyan Church with the Pastor Jim Terry officiating. Friends may call at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Thursday, September 20, 2012, from 4 until 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon, Indiana.
