Mrs. Wilma E. (VonDielingen) Wessel, 89, of Seymour passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at her residence.
Born December 20, 1922 in Jackson County she was the daughter of John and Matilda Darlage VonDielingen.
On May 5, 1946 at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Sauers she married Robert H. Wessel. He preceded her in death December 3, 2007.
Wilma was a charter member of Zion Lutheran Church. She loved to cook and sew. She was an excellent gardener and enjoyed tending to her roses. Devoted to her family, her greatest joy was spending time with them.
She is survived by her children, Phyllis (Duane) VonDielingen, Mike (Brenda) Wessel, Pam (Pete) Moss, Beth (Paul) Tex, Teresa Wessel; grandchildren, Pierce (Margaret) Moss IV, Aimee (David) Dayhoff, Christopher (Shannon) VonDielingen, Eric (Mandy) Wessel, Patrick (Trish) Moss; great grandchildren, Tori, Ellie and Karlie Moss, Wyatt and Tess Dayhoff, Lucas and Megan VonDielingen, Lillie and Lincoln Wessel, and Macey and Parker Moss; and a sister, Bernice Christopher.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Ray VonDielingen, Clifford VonDielingen, Robert VonDielingen; and sisters, Mabel Stahl, Marilyn Goecker, and Hilda Speaker.
Funeral services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church on Friday, September 21, at 10 a.m.with Pastor Jeffrey Stuckwisch officiating. Friends may call at Zion Lutheran Church on Thursday, from 4 to 8 p.m. and 9 a.m. until service time Friday. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
