Freetown

Harry W. “Larry” Petro, 64, of Freetown, died unexpectedly Saturday, September 15, 2012 in Lancaster, New Hampshire.

He retired from Mariah Foods in Columbus. He enjoyed horseback riding, fishing and camping and riding four wheelers. He also loved his dog Skipper.

Born February 27, 1948 at Gnawbone, he was a son of Ralph and Opal Hawkins Petro. On August 27, 1971 in Brownstown, he married Nancy E. Manuel. She survives.

Other survivors include, three children, Jeffrey (Renee) Petro, Todd Petro and Ginny (Rocky) Petro-Bellacqua; four grandchildren, Sam, Trevor, Kayla and Lillie Petro; five sisters, Irene (George) Groom, Geneva (Rodney) Gill, Evangeline (Ronald) Harper, Barbara (Scott) McKain, Anna (Steve) Booker; three brothers, Leroy Petro, James (Janice) Petro and Ken Petro.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown with David Ison officiating. Calling will be from 11 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at Freetown Cemetery.
