James L. Jackson Sr., 43, of Seymour passed away at 5:32 p.m. Sept. 22, 2012, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour.
Mr. Jackson had worked for Rose Acre Farms at Cortland for more than 10 years as a warehouse manager. He had also worked at Seymour Tubing for six years. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing and was a member of Assembly’s God, Seymour.
Born May 9, 1969, in Seymour, he was a son and stepson of Frances and Jerry Zirkel of Medora and Louis Jackson of Seymour. He had married Jennifer Pitney on Nov. 5, 1993.
Survivors include his former wife, Jennifer Jackson; two sons, James L. Jackson II and Dylan Jackson; one sister, Gina Jackson; one brother, Mark (Mary) Jackson; one stepbrother, Jerry Zirkel Jr.; one stepsister, Jennifer Nicholas; and one half sister, Suzanne Blake.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Henry and Nellie Cooper; and his paternal grandparents, James and Genevieve Jackson.
Pastor Steve Hyer will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home, Brownstown. Burial will take place at Smallwood Cemetery, west of Brownstown.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
