Donald Dean "Don" McClure, 75, of Columbus, died Monday Sept. 24, 2012 at Kindred Health Care of Columbus.
Don retired from Cummins Engine Co. after 19 years of service. He was an Indiana, Butler and Notre Dame basketball fan, a NASCAR fan, a member of Columbus Moose Lodge and loved gardening and raising roses.
A graveside service will be conducted Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Garland Brook Cemetery with Rev. Larry Rowe officiating. Calling will be at Norman Funeral Home in Hope on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Born in Columbus on June 5, 1937, Don was the son of Leo and Dorothy Sims McClure.
Survivors include children, Jeffrey (Judy) McClure, Christy (Kip) Hull and Janice Ryle (Derek Cornn), all of Greensburg; grandchildren, Lena Miles, Jessica McClure, Tim McClure, Dillon Ryle and Lexi Ryle; a great-grandson, Gavin Miles; a companion of 40 years, Sue Cavanaugh of Columbus; a sister, Chloe (Mike) Williams of Greensburg; and a brother, Rick McClure of California.
Don was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Junior and Kenneth McClure.
