Gary J. Lange, 55, of Franklin, passed away Friday, September 28, 2012, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born January 8, 1957, in Columbus, to Hubert and Alverta (McCoy) Lange. He married Leota L. "Lee" (Hancock) Lange on August 15, 1992 at Community Congregational Church in Franklin. She survives.
He had worked for Arvin in Columbus and Franklin Plastic Products. He was a former member of White Creek Lutheran Church in Columbus. He was a member of the Humane Society of Johnson County and was active in the reenactment of the Civil War.
Survivors include his wife, Leota L. "Lee" (Hancock) Lange of Franklin; his beloved kid dogs, Brownie and Joey; a brother, David Lange of Scipio; a sister, Kathy Adams of Shelbyville, Kentucky; his mother-in-law, Marjorie B. Hancock of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The Revs. John Kolb and Dan McLaughlin will conduct the service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
