Velma Goldsmith, 87,of Edinburgh, died at 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at Franklin Meadows Nursing Home.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Whosoever Will Community Church, 623 S. Eisenhower Dr., Edinburgh, with the Rev. Lewis Burton officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
Arrangements were made by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.
Mrs. Goldsmith is survived by daughters, Nancy (Bruce) Campbell of Nineveh, Jeanie (Larry) Estes of Edinburgh and Betty (Darrell) Cummings of Trafalgar; sons, Dwight (Ruth) Goldsmith of Edinburgh and Gilbert (Barb) Goldsmith of Yellow Springs, W.V.; 24 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo Goldsmith; and sons, Stanley, Hansley and Jimmy Goldsmith.
