George W. Mount, 90, of Greensburg, died at 3:33 a.m. Saturday, October 6, 2012, at Heritage House in Greensburg.
He was born in Shelby County, May 30, 1922, the son of Cleo and Lodemia Bentley Mount. He married Mable Davis on September 18, 1940, and she survives.
In addition to his wife, George is survived by daughters, Marilyn Alexander of New Orleans, La., Jane (William) Kennedy of Columbus, and Kathy (Mike) Harrison of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Patrick (Angie) Alexander, Thomas (Elizabeth) Alexander, David (Traci) Best, Tracey (Travis) Range, Kelly (Jordan) Swensson, and Kate Harrison; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, James Mount; and a sister, Agnes Clapp.
George graduated from Waldron High School and attended Union Chapel United Methodist Church. He was a farmer, and was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Navy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Glenn E. George Funeral Home in St. Paul, with the Rev. Dawn Barnes officiating. Burial will be at Union Chapel Cemetery in Shelby County.
Calling will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
