Mrs. Shirley J. Enzinger, 74, of Columbus, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus.
Born October 25, 1937 in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Lute and Effie (Fleetwood) Harrell.
On July 22, 1962 at St. John’s Lutheran Church (White Creek), she married Lester Enzinger.
Shirley had worked at Western Electric in Indianapolis. She was also a retired hairdresser. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing and crossword puzzles, but most of all she enjoyed her family and especially her grandchildren. Her family enjoyed her good cooking and time spent with her. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
Besides her husband, Shirley leaves behind her children, Luanne (Tim) Bryant, Rex (Kim) Enzinger, and Nancy (Tom) Kitterman; grandchildren, Erin Enzinger, Samantha Enzinger, and Lance Kitterman; a sister, Faye Somers; and many nieces and nephews.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Fern Combs, Mary Clampitt, and Mary Jane Ray; brothers, Frank Harrell, Gene Harrell, Chet Harrell, and J.C. Harrell.
Funeral Services will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church White Creek on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Joshua Cook officiating.
Friends may call at Voss Chapel on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m., and on Wednesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
Burial will take place at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorials may be written to St. John’s Foundation Fund.
