Jeffery A. Washburn, 22, of Greensburg, passed away on October 19, 2012, in a car accident near Hartsville. He was born March 9, 1990, in Greensburg, the son of Floyd E. Washburn Jr. and Tina L. (Evans) Florea.

Jeffrey was raised in Greensburg and worked for Schwering’s Saw Mill in Greensburg, attended Greensburg Wesleyan Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting guns and other outdoor activities.

He married Valarie Jefferies in Laurel, Indiana, on June 6, 2009.

Jeffery is survived by his wife, Valarie Washburn of Greensburg; his mother, Tina (Richard) Florea of Greensburg; his father, Floyd Washburn Jr. of Greensburg; his daughter, Carleigh Jade Washburn of Greensburg; his son, James Joseph Michael Washburn of Greensburg; his three brothers, Joshua Washburn, Floyd Washburn III and Kory Washburn, all of Greensburg; and his grandparents, Darrell (Edith) Scudder of Greensburg and Ronnie (Ruth) Linger of Greensburg.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Candice Dawn Washburn, and grandfather, T.C. “Rocky” Evans.

Memorial services will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2012, at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Sue Gurley and Doug Preston officiating.
