Marjorie Ellen Castetter, 90, of North Vernon, passed away quietly on October 25, 2012, at her residence.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at Sawyer – Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 9 until 11 a.m. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery.
Born August 16, 1922, in Butlerville, Marjorie was the daughter of the late Leonard and Jesse Hooker Weber. She married Vernon Castetter on September 12, 1938. He preceded her in death in 2002.
Marjorie retired from Danner’s after 14 years. She had also been employed at Arvin Industry during World War II. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, reading, and was an avid fan of the North Vernon Farmer’s Market each summer.
Marjorie is survived by sons, Larry (Sharon) Castetter and Tom (Linda) Castetter of North Vernon; daughter, Jane (Dave) Coquerille of North Vernon; brother, Roger Weber of Westport; grandchildren, Ben and Sam Coquerille, Sue Ann Pridemore, Teri Box, and Doug Castetter; great-grandchildren, Apryl Kidd and Bradley Castetter; and five step grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Gladys and Hilda; grandson, Alan Castetter; and one great-grandson.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice of Jennings County or to the Park Theatre Civic Centre.
