Brenda Joyce Winget, 65, of South Hinman Street, died at 7:05 a.m., Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mrs. Winget worked as a home health care provider. She was the publisher of the former Community Advocate and was a community volunteer.
She enjoyed her children and grandchildren and taking care of her flowers.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Delbert Riddle officiating.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana.

She was born in Wise, Virginia, November 17, 1946, Mrs. Winget was the daughter of Paul and Dorothy Gibson Sexton. She married Ronald Eugene Winget June 19, 1966. He preceded her in death May 8, 2003.
Survivors include her children, Sarah Ping, Brenda Bramble, Shari Mullins and George Winget, all of Columbus, and Jeffery (Misty) Winget of Scipio; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Stella Ward of Tennessee; brothers, Randy Sexton of Taylorsville and Delbert Sexton of Tennessee; 43 nieces and nephews; and many other relatives.
Mrs. Winget was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and brothers, Freddie and Ronnie Sexton.
