Sue Dale Cavanaugh (Lane), 73, of Lafayette Avenue, died at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at her home.
Sue was previously employed at Sandcrest Medical and Reliance Electric and retired from Columbus Regional Hospital. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Sigma Sorority and loved horse racing. Her life was her family.
Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Pursley officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Born in Columbus Nov. 3, 1938, Sue was the daughter of Farrell Cavanaugh and Minta Phipps Cavanaugh.
She is survived by sons, Michael Lane and Greg Lane, both of Columbus, IN; a daughter, Beckie Fields of Columbus, IN; a sister, Marijean Mann and her husband, Richard, Columbus, IN; grandchildren, Gunnery Sgt. Jeremy Fields and his wife, Amanda, Jennifer Fields, James Lane and Cavanaugh Lane; and great-grandchildren, Timothy Fields, Kaden Fields, Keegan Fields, Issac Fields, Amaya Fields, Maicie Leonard, Klaytin Leonard and Lexi Lane; nephews, Rick Mann and his wife, Deena, and Jim Mann and his wife, Debbie, all of Columbus; and nieces, Ginger Jonas of Oregon and Karen Kinsel of Boston, MA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Betty Cavanaugh-Kinsel; and an aunt, Lena Phipps-Toby.
