George H. Seeley, 83, a resident of Lebanon,Ohio, since 1958 and formerly of Midway, IN, died Thursday, November 8, 2012, at his home.
Born in Bushton, IL, on July 29, 1929, to Robert H. & Lula Hobbs Seeley, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps 82nd Airborne Screaming Eagles during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Mr. Seeley retired from Roadway Express in the mid 1980s after nearly 30 years of service.
He was a lifetime member of Lebanon V.F.W., a member of Lebanon Lodge No. 26 F. & A.M. and the D.A.V.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret June Seeley; brothers, Gaylon, Roy and Raymond Seeley; and sisters, Laura Beach and Grace Martin.
Survivors include one son, Bob Seeley (Sheila) of Lebanon; two daughters, Pam Yeazel (Donald) of Oregonia, Ohio, and Vicki Jones of Lebanon; brothers, Elmer Seeley of Columbus, IN, and Wayne Seeley of Charleston, IL; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 14, from 11 a.m. to noon, with a memorial service immediately following, all at Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon. Inurnment will follow at Lebanon Cemetery.
