Former Madison County resident Raymond Davis, 94, died November 14, 2012, at Four Seasons Retirement Center in Columbus.
He was born on July 16, 1918, in Pendleton, and was a longtime Madison County resident until moving to Columbus in 2007.
Raymond was a field examiner for the Indiana State Board of Accounts for 26 years retiring in 1978. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving aboard the destroyer, USS Porter.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty J. (husband, Carroll D.) Koch of Trafalgar; two grandchildren, Jeffrey S. (wife, Michelle) Warrum of Trafalgar and Lori D. Warrum of Columbus; three great-grandchildren, Paige, Jeffrey and Hunter Warrum; a sister, Waneta Crooks of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Leslie and Sarah Blanche (Rumler) Davis; his wife, Lillian M. (Fausset) Davis; a brother, Kenneth Davis; and sisters, Helen Feight and Eileen Sylvester.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, with John Long officiating. Calling will be from 11 a.m. until service time Monday. Burial will follow in Gravel Lawn Cemetery near Fortville and will include military honors.
