Hilda Niehaus, age 87, of Oswego, Ill., died Thursday, November 22, 2012, at her home.
Hilda was born September 21, 1925 in Lincoln, Kan., the daughter of the late Ephraim and the late Hilda (Musmann) Meier. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Aurora, Ill.
Hilda is survived by her daughter, Andrea (David) Nation of Oswego, Ill.; grandchildren, Danielle, Christopher and Julianne Nation, all of Oswego; nieces and nephews, Charles Meier, Don Meier, Martha Ann Pumphrey, Paul Meier, Dorothy Linn, Ted Meier, Stanley Nolting, Steve Nolting and Neil Nolting; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Hilda was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Niehaus; siblings, Minnie Meier, Albert Meier, Alma Meier, Ben Meier, Alvin Meier, Ferd Meier, Bertha Nolting, Eph Meier, John Meier and two infant siblings; nephews, Robert Meier, Milton Meier and Dale Meier.
A memorial service will be held Friday, November 30, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Barkes-Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street. Memorials in Hilda’s honor can be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 719 Fifth Street, Columbus, IN 47201.
