Craig S. Hoskinson, age 59, of Bellevue, Nebraska, passed away November 20, 2012, at the Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, Nebraska. Craig was born May 2, 1953, to Joan and Allen "Jack" Hoskinson Jr., in Corning, Iowa. He was raised and attended school in the Prescott, Iowa, area, graduating from Prescott High School in 1971. He attended Regis University, Iowa State University, North Iowa Area Community College and Texarkana Community College.
On December 23, 1978, Craig was united in marriage to Maureen J. Powell in Stuart, Iowa.
He started his career as a general mechanic with Brakke Implement in Mason City, Iowa, and went on to become Shop Forman /Service Manager with John Deere Agricultural Dealerships with Circle H Implement in Garner, Iowa, Con Mark Industrial Machinery, Texarkana, Arkansas, Butterbrodt Implement in Tama, Iowa, and Iowa Implement Inc. in Lisbon, Iowa. He furthered his agricultural career with farm machinery as a Hay Tool Service Specialist with White-New Idea of Coldwater, Ohio, and as a Sales Engineer with New Idea Products, a component of AGCO, Duluth, Geogia.
Craig was a 15-year employee of CLAAS of America Inc, starting as the Parts and Service Manager in Columbus, Indiana. In 2002 he was transferred to Omaha, Neb., where he served as the North American Service Manager. He was a major contributor to the growth of this North American organization.
In addition to his career, Craig was President of Maple Lane Farms Ltd. of Stuart, Iowa. He was also a member of Masonic Fremont Lodge No. 616 of Stanwood, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife Maureen, of Bellevue, Neb.; daughter, Audrey of Indianapolis, Ind. (fiancé Joshua Starr); mother-in-law, Lougene J. Powell of Stuart, Iowa; brothers, Jay (Denese) Hoskinson of Dallas Center, Iowa, and Steve (Diane) Hoskinson of Creston, Iowa; sisters, Cynthia (Joe) Wolf of Creston and Suzanne (Tony) Shebek of Iowa City, Iowa; many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, Max Powell; a brother-in-law, Guy Powell; and grandnephew, Ashton.
No public services are planned. The family requests memorial donations be made to the Visiting Nurse Association Hospice at VNA Hospice, 12565 W. Center Road, Suite 100, Omaha, NE 58144.
