Dorothy Mae Hayes, 88, of Jones Street died at 2:25 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2012 at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Dorothy retired from Sears as department manager, where she had worked for over 30 years.
She served as President of the Sears Retiree Club and was a member of the Columbus Moose Lodge.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Helen Hamilton officiating.
Family and friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to time of service Tuesday.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana.

She was born in Greensburg on December 11, 1924, the daughter of Edward and Flora Shaffer Narwold.
She married Bernard T. Hayes on January 1, 1945; he preceded her in death on August 27, 1976.
Survivors include her son, Don (Helga) Hayes of Columbus; Michael P. Hayes, grandson, of Florida; also surviving, Dennis Deeter and Darren (Stephanie) Deeter and family; sister-in-law, Mary Narwold of Greensburg and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; a son, Larry E. Hayes; a brother, Robert Narwold; and sisters, Norma Robbins and Mary Margaret Christman.
