Cecil Mae Burton, 84, of Edinburgh, died at 7:19 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church, 1010 S. Main St., with the Rev. Guy Hardin officiating. Calling will be at the church from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from noon until service time Wednesday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
Arrangements were made by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.
Mrs. Burton is survived by sons, Wendell (Lin) Burton of Indianapolis, Philip (Leona) Burton of Riverton, Wyo., Gary Burton, Roger (Dawn) Burton of Columbus and Timothy (Angie), Terry (Genny) and Troy (Nancy) Burton, all of Edinburgh; daughters, Helen (Bob) Burton, Barbara McCorkle and Darlene (Rick) Murray, all of Edinburgh, and Marilyn (Brian) Stephens of Nineveh; brothers, Rollin and Eugene (Polly) Rooks, both of Edinburgh, Charles Curtis (Ethel) Rooks of Freetown and Avery (Bernice) Rooks of Columbia, Ky.; sisters, Ruth Burton and Ida Pearl Bryant, both of Edinburgh; half sisters, Bonnie Shelton, Dottie Misener and Judy Wilkins; half brothers, Holland and Alvin Rooks; 21 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vertis Burton
