Sheila F. Bliton Morris, age 67, of Madison, entered this life on September 23, 1945, in Madison, Indiana, the loving daughter of the late Faye Wesley "Dude" Bliton and Dorothy L. Pelsor Bliton. She was a 1963 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School and later attended secretarial school in Napoleon, Indiana. Sheila was united in marriage to Gary Morris on December 3, 1966, in Madison, Indiana. To this union arrived one son, Rodney, and one daughter, Michelle, to bless their home. Sheila lived in Osgood, Indiana, before moving to Bartholomew County, Indiana, and then later moved to Madison, Indiana, in 1994. Sheila sold Avon for years and was a homemaker to her family. She was a member of the Home Ec Club in Columbus and a den mother for the Cub Scouts. Sheila enjoyed folk art, flower gardening and animals. She always enjoyed the Madison Chatauqua and the Madison Tour of Homes. In her spare time she liked to watch the Indianapolis Colts and the Cincinnati Reds, spend time with her five grandchildren and enjoyed her Shih Tzu babies.
Sheila died Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at 10:00 p.m. at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville Kentucky.
She will be missed by her loving husband, Gary Morris of Madison, Indiana; her son, Rodney Morris and his wife, Rae Jean, of Madison, Indiana; her daughter, Michelle Myers of Columbus, Indiana; her five grandchildren, Megan Morris, Jackson Morris, Nicole Marshall, Taylor Marshall and Eric Myers; her sister, Barbara Lock of Vevay, Indiana; her sisters-in-law, Norma Faye Bliton of Madison, Indiana, and Pat Rolf and her husband, James, of Osgood, Indiana; her cousins, Rita Atkins of Detroit, Michigan, Buddy Pelsor of Lexington, Kentucky, Norman Knudson of Holton, Indiana, and Delbert Knudson of Holton, Indiana; her aunt, Violet Pelsor of Charlestown, Indiana; nieces, nephews; and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Faye Wesley "Dude" and Dorothy L. Pelsor Bliton; her brothers, Garnett O. Bliton and Daniel Bliton; her niece, Dottie Sue Bliton; and her nephew, James Daniel Bliton..
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 22, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., by Rev. Mike Hamby, at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Madison. Friends may call Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
