Vonda D. (Burnett) Fivecoat, 57 of Beech Drive, was found dead at 1:17 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2012 as the result of an automobile accident off of Marr Road and Rocky Ford Road.
Vonda was born in Columbus on October 14, 1955, the daughter of the late Robert M. Burnett and Gladys (Burnett) Burnett Cagle of Columbus.
She married Steven Ray Fivecoat on July 1, 1985 in Columbus, and he preceded her in death on January 9, 2007.
Vonda was a former manager of Foods Plus Grocery Store and had worked as a bank teller for Centra Federal Credit Union.
She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and enjoyed studying the Bible at home.
Vonda loved to work in the yard with her flowers and she enjoyed playing cards and being with her family.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Vonda will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2013 at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th St. with the Rev. Jimmy Collins officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7 p.m. on Friday.
Cremation was entrusted to The Columbus Crematory on Pearl St.

Vonda is survived by a daughter, Shannon (David) States of Columbus; her companion, Stan Torwelle of Columbus; her mother, Gladys Burnett Cagle of Columbus; three sisters, Connie Burnett of Taylorsville, Toni Burnett of Hope, and Renee (Leon) Connor of Columbus; and six grandchildren, Ethyn Allen and Emylee Shalynne States, Zachary S. and Shelby Lynn Fivecoat and Kelsea Alta Marie and Taylor Asa Rae Cross.
