Frances H. Campbell, 69, of Durand, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at the Avalon Hospice Center in Michigan. Frances was born August 12, 1943, in Owosso, Michigan, the daughter of Frank and Arlene (Young) Spencer.

She spent most of her life in Michigan and attended Morrice High School. She moved to Decatur County in 1994 and resided here until November of 2012.

She married Fredrick E. Campbell on November 26, 1994, in Morrice, Michigan. He preceded her in death on June 3, 2012.

Survivors include her sons, Wayne Sieeman of Grand Ledge, Michigan, Jeffery Roebuck of West Palm Beach, Florida, and John Hemenway of North Vernon; her daughters, Deanice Rose of Michigan, Roylene Blackman of Burton, Michigan, Edith Hemenway of Durand, Michigan, Shawn Woodgate of Byron, Michigan, and Charity Hemenway of Daytona Beach, Florida; her stepsons, Melvin Campbell of Westport, Fredrick Campbell II of Westport, and Paul Campbell of Greensburg; her stepdaughters, Diana Gee of St. Johns, Michigan, Lisa Stinson of Ovid, Michigan, and Cindy Sheldon of Seymour; her sisters, Rosemary Estridge of Morrice, Michigan, and Margaret Hemenway of Byron, Michigan; 36 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, James Roebuck; sisters, Lois Campbell and Patricia Fouts; and a brother, Leroy Spencer.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013, at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home at Westport with Rev. Tom Rust officiating. Burial will at the Westport Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society through the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home.
