Vonda A. Dunn, 90, of Columbus, died at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Franklin United Methodist Community.

Vonda was born on February 18, 1922 in Johnson County to the late George A. and Golda E. Roberts Dunn.He married Mary Anna Conner on December 9, 1950, and she preceded him in death in March, 2000.

He owned and operated Vonda Dunn Asphalt Paving Company and was a member of Bethel Holiness Church. Vonda proudly served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed farming, growing fruit, fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at noon on Monday at Bethel Holiness Church with Rev. Nathan Shockley and Rev. Robert Thompson officiating.

Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until service time Monday at the Church.

Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh with Military honors conducted by the Indiana Army Reserve National Guard Honor Guard and Bartholomew County Veterans Color Guard.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Holiness Church, 6060 North U.S. Highway 31, Columbus, Indiana 47201.

Survivors include his son, Richard A. (Bethel) Dunn of Colorado Springs, Colorado; daughters, Rhonda Ann Dunn of Brown County and Robin Dunn of Edinburgh; brothers, Mahlon J. "Bud" (Shirley) Dunn of Edinburgh and Marcus (Shirley) Dunn of Brown County; sisters, Jean Castle of Florida, Doris Ferguson of Kokomo, Frances (Clifford) Emmons; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Vonda was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; brothers, David N. and Joel N. Dunn; and sisters, Ruth Oaks and Lucille Lucas.

Arrangements were entrusted to Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home.
