Nina Norman Burton, 85, of Edinburgh, died at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at her residence.
Mrs. Burton was a former press operator for Challenge Plastic Products in Edinburgh and also worked at Columbus Container and Amos Plastics. She was a member of Edinburgh American Legion Auxiliary No. 233.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh with the Rev. Terry England officiating. Calling will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
Born in Columbia, Ky., Dec. 4, 1927, Mrs. Burton was the daughter of Foy Norman and Dora Ann Whitehead Norman. She married Raymond Burton Oct. 17, 1944, in Edinburgh. He preceded her in death Sept. 7, 1997.
Mrs. Burton is survived by a son, Lloyd E. (Pam) Burton of Bloomington; a daughter, Lois (Rod) Steele of Columbus; sisters, Janetta Gaskins of Taylorsville and Nan Cox of St. Petersburg, Fla.; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sons, Ronnie Lee Burton and Kenneth E. Burton; brothers, Wesley, Chester C., Lester and J.R. Norman; and sisters, Norma Burton and Nancy Aldridge.
