Alma Bernice Barnard, 91, of Columbus, died at 11:08 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
She had been a member of First Christian Church in Columbus since 1950 and was a homemaker and a loving wife and mother.
In keeping with Alma’s wishes, cremation is planned with private inurnment at Ladoga Cemetery, Ladoga, IN, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church or the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements were made by Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street.

Born Dec. 26, 1921, in Worthington, IN, Alma was the daughter of Isabell Hayden. She married Robert Barnard July 29, 1945, in Silver Springs, MD.
Survivors include her husband; sons, James L. Barnard, Skokie, IL, and Craig A. (Rosemary) Barnard, Batavia, IL; grandchildren, Tom Barnard, Reseda, CA, Dan (Jenn) Barnard, West Lafayette, and Brynne Barnard and Steven Barnard, both of Chicago; and a brother-in-law, Harley (Joetta) Barnard of Ladoga.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
