James S. Pass, 67, of Edinburgh, died at 12:59 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin.
Mr.Pass was a graduate of Whiteland Community High School. He was a member of St. George Lutheran Church in Edinburgh and was retired from Milestone Contractors of Indianapolis. He loved spending time with family, watching Westerns, working puzzles, gardening and helping people.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. George Lutheran Church with Pastor Jerry Curry officiating. Calling will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the church. Burial will be at St. George Cemetery in Edinburgh.
Born Oct. 7, 1945 in Whiteland, he was the son of Edwin and Maymie Isaacs Pass. He married Berneice Marie Linville June 3, 1971. She survives.
Other survivors include sons, Shawn Christopher Pass of Princess Lakes and James Eric Pass; daughters, Debra Ann (Archie)Taflinger and Sandra Marie Carman, both of Edinburgh and Kathy Lynn (Jerry) Harris of Louisville, Ky.; brothers, Joe Pass of Texas and Tom Pass of Edinburgh; sisters, Carol (Bill) Volt of Indianapolis and Ruth (Ken) Long of Greenwood; a long time friend, Maurice Caudill of Greenwood; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert William Popplewell and a brother, John Pass.
