Frank Burton Jr., 72, of Madison, died at 6:18 a.m. Sunday, January 20, 2013, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Frank retired from Cummins Engine Company, was a member of Westport Masonic Lodge No. 52 and enjoyed fishing.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Virgil Clotfelter officiating. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday. A Masonic service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Thursday by Westport Masonic Lodge. Burial will be at Scipio Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Air Force Honor Guard.

Frank was born in Bartholomew County June 21, 1940, the son of Frank Burton Sr. and Maudie Harmon Burton.
Survivors include his children, Hector Burton of Commiskey, Omar Burton of Branchville and Tina Grist of Monticello; a brother, Paul Burton of Elizabethtown; sisters, Margaret B. Hennsley of Columbus, Nellie Sexton of Jennings County and Ula Jean Dugan of Salem; grandchildren, Kelly Ottinger, Megan Grist, Jacob Grist and Hector Hendrix; great-grandchildren, Blaine Grist, Coleman Ottinger and Cabella Ottinger; and his best friend, Bernie Dreeck.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Burton Sr.; his mother, Maudie Harmon Duggin; a brother, James Burton; a sister, Alta Perdue; and a son, Glen Burton.
