Francis J. Critney Jr., 64, of Columbus, passed away January 12, 2013. He was born November 28, 1948, to Francis and Florence (Green) Critney at Franklin, IN.
Francis graduated from Columbus High School in 1968. He was an Army veteran of the 101st Airborne, serving two tours in Vietnam.
He loved motorcycle riding, gardening, reading, writing poetry, music, and spending time with close friends and family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; daughter, Jackie; son, Nathaniol; stepdaughter, Amy; stepson, Scott; nine grandchildren; nine nieces and nephews; brothers, John and Rick; and sisters, Margaret May and Diana Olmstead.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held January 25 at 5 p.m. at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 1306 27th Street, Columbus, IN 47201, with calling starting one hour before the service.
