RoseAnn Banister, 66, of Cessna Drive, died at 6:46 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
RoseAnn graduated from Columbus High School in 1965 and retired in 1995 after 25 years of service in the lab department at the former Bartholomew County Hospital. She enjoyed reading, traveling and playing music, was an avid IU basketball fan and a lifelong member of Sandy Hook United Methodist Church.
RoseAnn enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service Saturday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Born in Columbus January 17, 1947, RoseAnn was the daughter of Harold Kistler and Dorothy Powell Kistler. She married Lyman Scott Banister November 29, 1969.
Survivors include her husband; sons, Eric (Michelle) Banister of Whiteland, IN, and Brent (Amy) Banister of Columbus, IN; brothers, Jim (Nancy) Kistler of Columbus, IN, and Mike (Ruth Ann) Kistler of Columbus, IN; grandchildren, Morgan Banister and Tyler Banister; and nieces and nephews, Scott and John Wendel and Tim, Steve, Ryan and Katie Kistler.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
