James Davidson, 66, of Greensburg, IN, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. He was born in Milan, IN, June 12, 1946, the son of James and Marjorie (Jenkins) Davidson.
Mr. Davidson worked at Delta Faucet and was a welder for American Lifts for 35 years. He was a member of First Church of God, Past Master of Greensburg Masonic Lodge No. 36, and a member of Bartmeas Blue Lodge, Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine, Eagles Lodge Aerie No. 927 in Greensburg and Shrine Club of Columbus, IN. He also was an honorary Kentucky Colonel.
He married Carroll Abbott November 13, 1965, in Greensburg, IN, and she survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Julie Ann (Todd) Lautenschlager of Indianapolis, IN; one son, Kevin James (Carla) Davidson of Greensburg, IN; five sisters, Linda Colson of Greensburg, Judy (George) Volz of Milan, Shirley (Toby) Berry of Morris Hill, Marlene (Melvin) Honeycutt of Elrod, and Susie (Richard) Van Dyke of Greensburg; seven brothers, Pat (Deb) Lazenby of Westport, Raymond (Janet) Jenkins of Tennessee, Larry Davidson of Morris Hill, David (Pam) Davidson of Versailles, William Davidson of Morris Hill, Tim (Kathy) Davidson of Osgood, and Greg (Tammy) Davidson of Milan. He is also survived by one grandson, Tyler Davidson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jerry Davidson.
Friends may call at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home in Greensburg Friday, February 1, 2013, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. A Masonic service will be held at 3:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children or to honor James with a donation for a headstone.
