Stephen J. Wright, 68, of Edinburgh, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at his home.
Mr. Wright was a 1962 graduate of Edinburgh High School and retired in 2009 after 47 years with R&R Technologies LLC, Edinburgh, where he was an engineer. He was a builder of radio controlled airplanes, was an avid genealogist, enjoyed attending Edinburgh alumni banquets and especially enjoyed helping plan events for his graduating class of 1962.
He was a member of Edinburgh United Methodist Church, Edinburgh Lions Club and Academy of Model Aeronautics, and was a veteran of the Army Reserve.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh with the Rev. Lewis Burton officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Born in Shelbyville Sept. 5, 1944, Mr. Wright was the son of Marvin E. Wright and Helen Cooper Wright. He married Phyllis Angelo Sept. 25, 1971. She preceded him in death Jan. 28, 2003.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Wright, and her husband, Travis Lenhart, of Yardley, Pa.
