Marjorie Faye Bryant, 73, of North Hughes Street, died at 10:13 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2013, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
She was born in Taylorsville, February 27, 1939, the daughter of the late Harry and Agnes Smith Noel. She married Johnnie Marion Bryant on March 9, 1956, and he survives.
Marjorie retired from food service at Columbus Regional Hospital in 2011 after 35 years of service. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of a bowling league for several years. She also enjoyed watching soap operas. Marjorie loved being with her sisters, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marjorie truly enjoyed life and had an infectious laugh.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Johnnie Bryant Jr., and Scottie Bryant, both of Columbus; a daughter, Teresa Baker of Columbus; grandchildren, Angel (Bruce) Phillips, Shane Scott Bryant, Tara (Brian) Riley, Nicole (Dennis) Berger, Coty Skyler Bryant and Amanda Bryant, all of Columbus; sisters, Nellie Mae (Donald) Brock and Nedra Karen Cutshaw, all of Indianapolis; and great-grandchildren, Bryant Kerns, Erricka Rutherford, Noah Morgan, Mason Riley, Lium Bryant, Nicoles Berger and Coledenn Berger.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Charles Bryant III; and sisters, Juanita Guerino, Mary Lou Busic and Josephine Richardson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from noon until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
