Yolanda L. Delks, 80, of Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Columbus, died at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at Beaches Baptist Hospital in Jacksonville.
Mrs. Delks was a member of First Christian Church and Loyal Couples Class and for several years served on the Women’s Council of the church. She also was a member of Columbus Eagles Lodge.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street, with Dan Wallace officiating. Private inurnment will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Born in Crawfordsville Oct. 8, 1932, Mrs. Delks was the daughter of Carl and Emma Wilkerson Earl. She married Richard L. Delks Feb. 12, 1952, in Crawfordsville. He preceded her in death Jan. 31, 2011.
She is survived by sons, Gary (Monica) Delks of Cambridge City, IN, Gregory (Susie) Delks of Atlantic Beach, FL, and Jeff (Marilyn) Delks of Paola, KN; a sister, Sharon (Joe) Archer of Sebring, FL; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Richard Earl.
