Christopher Sanger, 35, of Columbus, died at 2:30 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2013, at his home.
Born May 30, 1977, in Aurora, Illinois, he was the son of Phillip A. and Judith A. Hoffman Sanger. He attended Bishop Dwenger High School in Fort Wayne, earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University and a master's degree from the University of Illinois. He married Sarah Conley May 22, 1999 in Warsaw.
Christopher was formerly employed at Cummins Engine Company. He was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed boating, riding motorcycles, water skiing, snow skiing and spending time with his family and friends.
A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church with Father Clem Davis officiating. Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike. A rosary service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Private family burial will be at Catholic Cemetery in Fort Wayne.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Sanger; children, Luke and Lilly Sanger; his father, Phillip Sanger of Lafayette; a brother, Tim (Kristina) Sanger of Fort Wayne; sisters, Julia (Jeet) Minocha of Chicago and Anne Sanger of Fort Wayne; an aunt, Janet Hoffman of Fort Wayne; and several nieces, nephews, friends and family members.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Hoffman Sanger.
