Erma Fay Ault, 83, formerly of Seymour, passed away at 8:20 p.m. at Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown, on Thursday, February 28, 2013.
A homemaker, she had attended Spraytown Free Methodist Church and also White’s Chapel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking and sewing and spending time with her family and friends.
She was born February 23, 1930, in Jackson County, the daughter of John and Viola (Allman) Boknecht. On November 22, 1947, she married Lenord E. “Gene” Ault. He preceded her in death on February 14, 2003.
Survivors include three children, Marjorie (Randy) Rotert, Brenda Hopper and John (Melinda) Ault; four grandchildren, Lori (Darrell) Wilson, Jennifer (Joe) Barnette, Zoa (Darin) Hackman, and Matt (Paige) Rotert; seven great-grandchildren, Lexi Wilson, Braeden Blocker, Conner Barnette, Jordan Barnette, Ally Barnette, Cole Hackman, and Jayse Williams; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Regina Fay Ault; two sisters, Helen Aynes and Amy Bell; and a brother, Kenneth Boknecht.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 3, 2013, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown. At 2 p.m., Dave Ison will conduct the funeral service at the funeral home, with burial to follow at White’s Chapel Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Hoosier Christian Village Auxiliary or Schneck Foundation, Hospice Fund.
