Sally Jane Ricke, 59, of Cicero, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at her home, following an extended illness.
She was born August 27, 1953, in Shelbyville, a daughter of the late Joseph O. Ricke and Betty Rae (Davis) Ricke.
Sally was a 1971 graduate of Columbus High School and graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business. She was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority at IU.
For the past 20 years, Sally was an independent marketing specialist for Ashley Furniture Company and recently received an award for attaining $20 million in annual sales.
She is survived by her mother, Betty Rae Ricke of New Castle; a sister, Ann (husband Dr. Wylie) McGlothlin of New Castle; and a brother, Dr. Scott Ricke of San Diego, Calif.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2013 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1904 Broad St., New Castle, Ind., with Father Jeremy Gries and Deacon Russ Woodard officiating. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
A celebration of Sally's life is planned for Friday, May 3, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Montage, 8580 Allison Pointe Blvd., Indianapolis, Ind.
Burial will be Saturday, May 4, at Forest Hill Cemetery, St. Joseph’s Section, in Shelbyville.
