Acie P. Smith Jr., 80, of Madison, died at 5 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at The Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 56 years, Betty Jean Brown Smith; two sons, Terry (Brenda Swift) Smith of Louisville, Ky., and Jeff (Jessica) Smith of North Vernon; a daughter, Kim Briner of Madison; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, with the Rev. Monty L. Mahoney offciating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday. Burial will be at Dupont Cemetery in Jennings County.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Calvary Wesleyan Church.
