Mary Jane Dyer, 82, of Columbus, died at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Kindred Transitional Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Nashville Christian Church, 140 Van Buren Street South, Nashville, with Pastor L.D. Campbell officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2013, at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street, and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church in Nashville. Entombment will follow at Garland Brook Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Miracle Network-Riley Children’s Hospital.

Mrs. Dyer was born Oct. 24, 1930, in Brown County.
A Brown County native, she had owned and operated the David Family Christmas Tree and Truck Farm and the Red House Drive-in. Most recently, she had worked for more than 20 years at the American Rental Store in Eastbrook Plaza Shopping Center in Columbus where she was store manager.
She was a longtime member of Nashville Christian Church and a former member of Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed time with her family, working and shopping.
She is survived by children, Victoria (Cal) Blake of Gatlinburg, TN, Elizabeth Brennan and David P. David, both of Bloomington, Barbara Walker of Columbus, and Gloria (Dori) David-Bean of Brunswick, GA; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Adams Aynes and Lottie Jane Ogle Aynes; her first husband, Grover C. David, and her second husband, Jerry R. Dyer; a sister, Joan Ault; and a brother, James Paul Aynes.
