Mrs. Paula A. (Pollert) Bolte, 68, of Seymour passed away Friday, March 22, 2013, at home with her family by her side.
Born December 19, 1944 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Oscar A. and Dorothy M. (Kasting) Pollert.
On May 10, 1964 at Zion Lutheran Church in Seymour she married David L.Bolte, whom survives.
She is also survived by her children, Paul D. (Jennifer) Bolte and Donna M. Bolte (Kate Eberle); a granddaughter, Elizabeth Marie Bolte; and a stepgranddaughter, Paige Anderson.
Paula lived most of her life in Jackson and Bartholomew counties.
Paula was a member of Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church in Jonesville. In addition to being a faithful member of the Church, Paula had served the congregation as an associate member of the Christian Service Guild and as a past financial secretary. She was an associate member of Cross Life/Lutheran Child and Family Services of the Indiana/Kentucky District, serving also as a past secretary and treasurer. She was a charter member of Zion Lutheran Church in Seymour.
Paula had been employed as an office manager, a licensed insurance agent and a tax preparer.
In her spare time, she enjoyed following NASCAR, watching old westerns, working crossword puzzles and reading books.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The service of Christian burial will be held at Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church in Jonesville on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Edgar Keinath officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Jonesville.
Friends may call at Voss Chapel on Monday March 25, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday at the Church from 9 a.m. until time of service.
Memorials may be written to Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church New Building Fund or to the Hospice of Schneck Medical Center.
