Lena M. Harris, 76, of Terrace Lake Road, passed from this life at 12:50 a.m. Sunday, March 24, 2013, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Mrs. Harris was a member of First United Methodist Church and Edinburgh American Legion Auxiliary.
A homemaker, she was the oldest daughter of 13 children and became the matriarch of her family. She loved her family and cherished the time spent with her granddaughter, great-grandchildren and her yellow Lab, Walker. She enjoyed flowers and flower gardening.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Dr. Gary Schaar officiating. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Born in Johnson County June 8, 1936, Mrs. Harris was the daughter of Clarence and Edna Grindstaff Curry. She married Keith L. Harris December 24, 1957.
Survivors include her husband; children, Julie A. Hupp, Jane L. Harris (Greg Exner), and Thomas M. Harris, all of Columbus; a granddaughter, Barri M. (Jose) Lazono of Columbus; great-grandchildren, Sophia and Emilee; brothers and sisters, Jerry (Jana) Curry, Carolyn Montgomery, Raymond (Rosetta) Curry, Mary (Jim) Carver, James (Kendra) Curry, Linda (Jimmy) Curry, and Gary, Marjie, David, and Randy Curry; a sister-in-law, Sandy Curry; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Nancy Curry; and a brother, Robert Curry.
