Warren K. Broady, 82, of Hope, passed away Sunday March 24, 2013, at his winter home in Frostproof, Florida.
Mr. Broady retired from the United States Air Force, where he worked in maintenance, and also had been a truck driver for MHart Express in Hope. He was a member of Hope United Methodist Church, Hope Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, and the American Legion and enjoyed fishing, gardening and watching sports and was a huge Cincinnati Reds, Indiana basketball and NASCAR fan.
The funeral will be conducted Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Norman Funeral Home at Hope with the Rev. Jerry Crouse officiating. Calling will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday. A Masonic memorial service will be conducted Friday at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial, with graveside military rites, will be at Hope Moravin Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Born in Bartholomew County, July 7, 1930 ,Mr. Broady was the son of Lester D. and Loretta Christy Broady. He married Martha S. Kissling July 1, 1955, in Hope. She survives.
Other survivors include children, Amy Dawn (Andrew) Wisdom of Cincinnati and Damon Alan Broady of Hope; grandchildren, Abby and Annaliis Wisdom of Cincinnati; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Mr. Broady was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert Broady and Elmer Broady; and a sister, Sarah Lingenfelter.
