Lloyd G. Stader, 92, of Columbus, died 4:42 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2013, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Lloyd was well known for his beautiful gospel singing at funerals, weddings and revivals all over Indiana. He had been music minister for Bethel Baptist Church, Hope Baptist Church and Burnsville Christian Church and was an original member of the much loved Bethel Ambassadors Gospel Quartet. He dedicated his life to his Lord and gospel music.
A 1938 graduate of Columbus High School, he retired after 32 years from Cummins Engine Company. He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and adult Sunday School Class and CREAK Club.
The funeral will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Friday at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street with Rev. Don Humphrey officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be at Daugherty Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hemophilia Foundation of Indiana or the donor’s choice of charities.

Lloyd was born in Columbus November 1, 1919, the son of Leonard and Edna O’Neal Stader. He married Alberta Caldwell September 28, 1940, in Columbus. She survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Nancy R. (Jim) Rooks of Huntsville, AL; a son, Randal A. (Patty Stanley) Stader of Hope; grandchildren, Christopher (Tammy) Morgan, Tina (Roy) Yarling, and Chad Alan (Amanda) Stader; great-grandchildren, Amberly Hill, Katelynn Yarling, Luke Morgan and LoraBeth Morgan; stepgreat-grandchildren, Katelyn, Isaac and Joshua; a brother-in-law, Bill (Letty) Caldwell; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Johnston.
