LaVonne Hall, 77, of Taylorsville, died at 8 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2013, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Hall worked at Public Service Indiana as a customer service representative for 27 years before retiring in 1997. An avid IU basketball fan, she also enjoyed racing and NASCAR.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Virgil Clotfelter officiating. Calling will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service Friday. Inurnment will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the LaVonne Hall Memorial Fund.
Born in Seymour Aug. 16, 1935, Mrs. Hall was the daughter of Clarence Combs and Kathryn Hunt Combs. She married Thomas Richard "Dick" Hall in 1962. They moved to Taylorsville in 1964.
Survivors include a son, Todd Hall, Taylorsville, IN; a daughter, Debora Acton, Columbus, IN; grandchildren, Brian Miller, Plainfield, IN, Chris Acton, Columbus, IN, and Kurtis Hall, Greenwood, IN; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother, Bob Combs.
