Cary A. "Dodie" Owsley, 49, of Roosevelt Street, died at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2013, at his home.
Cary formerly worked for his grandfather at Kirt’s Trucking Company and had also worked at Columbus Container Trucking. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed doing mechanics and carpentry.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home, with calling from 11 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Born in Indianapolis January 8, 1964, Cary was the son of George Owsley and Rosemary Kirts Owsley Pennybaker. He married Lisa Waltz April 24, 2010.
Survivors include his wife; his mother, of Columbus, IN; a son, Logan Owsley, Columbus, IN; a stepson, Dustin Freeze, Columbus, IN; a niece and a nephew, Chaley Rose Jackson and Charles Chase Jackson; and a sister, Cheryl Owsley Jackson, Chicago, IL.
He was preceded in death by his father and beloved grandparents, Ruth and Albert Kirts.
