Judy A. Teague, 67, of West Beck's Grove Road, passed from this life at 8:42 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
For over 30 years, Mrs. Teague worked for Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp., serving as the school secretary at Mount Healthy Elementary most of that time. She attended Westside Community Church and was a former Girl Scout leader.
She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her group of special girlfriends. Her girlfriends and Judy would do different types of crafts and all kinds of fun things together, and some of them became her caregivers later in life.
Mrs. Teague loved animals of all kinds, she loved basketball, especially IU basketball, and she had a passion for rooting for the underdog, not only in sports, but in all walks of life.
The funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike with Pastor Dennis W. Aud officiating. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Friday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Bartholomew County Humane Society or the Chuck Wilt Youth Scholarship Program through the Columbus Park Foundation.
